Head PGA Professional

Alasdair Good

Alasdair joined Gullane as Head Professional in 2003, bringing with him a wealth of experience across coaching, retail, and all aspects of club professional duties.

Before arriving at Gullane, he worked at some of Britain’s leading golf clubs, including Sunningdale, Foxhills and Royal Troon. During his time at Foxhills, he founded the junior coaching initiative Wee Wonders in 1995.

Wee Wonders, which began at Foxhills and continued to grow after Alasdair moved to Gullane, has since become a nationwide junior programme for children aged 5–12. It has introduced thousands of young players to the game, with notable alumni including Aaron Rai, Tommy Fleetwood, Tyrell Hatton, Marco Penge, Mimi Rhodes, Charlie Hull, Leona Maguire, Bob MacIntyre and Matt Fitzpatrick.

At Gullane, Alasdair oversees all aspects of the professional operation — including pro-shop management, coaching, fittings, lessons, junior-golf programmes and club events — ensuring a consistently high standard of service across the club.

Alasdair has been a TaylorMade Ambassador for over 20 years.

Outside of the Head Professional Role, Alasdair enjoys spending time with his family and 2 pro shop favourites, Bonnie and Darcy.
