Qualified Assistant PGA Professional
£12 Under 10’s
Joining my team at Gullane in the winter of 2011, Keir comes to us after many successful seasons competing at the highest level of the Amateur and Professional game. Being one of Scotland’s most prolific amateurs of the past decade – representing Scotland in four Home Internationals and winning some of the country’s most prestigious events – Keir went into the record books in 2008 by becoming the first Scottish player to reach an incredible +6 handicap. Transcending into the Professional game, Keir has competed in various tournaments on the European, Challenge and Europro Tours.
Originally from Carnoustie, Keir completed his university studies in the USA as part of a golf scholarship, gaining an honours degree in Business Administration. In America, while working at some of Florida’s most exclusive clubs, Keir acquired valuable coaching knowledge and unique practice methods from one of America’s most renowned teachers. He now looks to pass on his understanding of the game to the golfers of Gullane, while also using his awareness of the physical, mental, and nutritional aspects of golf to assist and develop the junior program.
Keir graduated from the PGA Training Programme in 2016 and at the same time, won the prestigious Titleist PGA Assistant of the Year Award. This is the second honour in three years for Keir as in 2014, he was named Rookie of the Year.
